Holidays can be a stressful time for a lot of us, so why not show our skin some TLC and get a beautiful at-home glow with natural, real food ingredients that nourish your skin from the inside out.
Sharing a family recipe for a DIY facemark with you all today. The holidays are all about giving and this is my little gift for you this holiday season.
This DIY recipe uses the following ingredients that according to Ayurveda have some amazing benefits:
Also known as Indian Gooseberry, Amla is one of the most anti-oxidant and Vitamin C rich fruits on the planet, which makes it a wonderful and safe addition to your skin care regime.
This powder comes from the leaves of the Neem plant, native to India. It has anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects and helps in soothing the skin and reducing acne that are caused by bacteria.

WHOLE MILK YOGURT:
Moisturizes the skin and the lactic acid present in it helps reduce blemishes and hyper pigmentation.
This extract made from roses has anti-inflammatory properties and works as an astringent on the skin. It also acts as an antiseptic and helps balance pH in the skin.
Full fat yogurt - 1 tbsp
Amla powder - 1 tsp
Neem powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Rose water - 1 tbsp (more, if needed)
Combine all the ingredients to form a paste.
Apply the paste using the back of the spoon or your fingers or a brush on your face and neck.
Allow it to sit for 15 mins.
Rinse with warm water and moisturize.
Relax and flaunt your glow all day long

I like to use this mask once or twice a month to help plump up my skin, especially during cold, winter months.
