Strawberry Pineapple Salsa
Refreshingly delicious appetizer or side that's perfect for warm summer months
I've got a vibrant and refreshing salsa recipe for you today! This Strawberry Pineapple Salsa is bursting with fresh flavors with sweetness from juicy Pineapples and hint of tang from the lime juice. The flavors complement each other so well...it's literally a fiesta in your mouth.
Nutritionally, Pineapples and Strawberries are loaded with Vitamins and minerals, especially Vitamin C. They also contain disease-fighting anti-oxidants that help your body combat oxidative stress. Bromelain, an enzyme present in Pineapples help break down proteins and may help aid digestion.
Summer fruits like Strawberries and pineapples are high in water content and can help hydrate your body, especially your skin during the dry weather.
This Salsa comes together pretty quickly and is completely vegan. Simply chop, slice and mix everything together and you've got yourself a deliciously refreshing Strawberry Pineapple Salsa. STRAWBERRY PINEAPPLE SALSA
Pineapple - 1 cup, chopped
Strawberries - 2 large ones, chopped
Roma Tomato - 1, seeds removed, chopped
Red onion - 1/2 medium sized, chopped
Jalapeño - 1, seeds removed, chopped finely
Cilantro - few sprigs, chopped
Key Lime - 1
Salt & Pepper - to taste
Place all the chopped ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Add lime juice, salt & pepper and mix.
Enjoy with some homemade baked tortilla chips and Watermelon Margarita
Please use fresh, organic ingredients if possible.
Tastes best when fresh but you can store this salsa in the fridge for up to 2 days.
Use a good, sharp knife to chop the fruits.
