Vegan Mango Milkshake

Cool & refreshing drink for hot, summer months!



Mango milkshakes are a popular Indian summer drink that combines fresh, juicy mangoes with milk. This 3- ingredient Vegan Mango Milkshake is a thick and creamy and makes for a refreshing late-afternoon snack during warm days.


My kids love this drink and I end up making it 3-4 times a week when Mangoes are in season. This is a super simple drink but it's insanely delicious. I usually don't add any sugar to this milkshake since Mangoes are naturally sweet. But if you like it sweeter, you can add some honey or maple syrup to add some sweetness.


RECIPE:


Ingredients:

  • Mango - Ripe, 2 cups, chopped into chunks

  • Cardamom - 3 pods, crushed

  • Cashew Milk (or any plant-based milk) - 1 cup

  • Ice - as required.

Instructions:

  • Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until nice and creamy.

  • Pour into glasses and serve cold with/ without straw

PRAJ'S TIPS:

  • Mangoes make this milkshake naturally sweet. So taste before adding any sweetener. The more ripe and juicy the mango, the sweeter is the milkshake.

  • You can use frozen mango to make this recipe

  • Add a dash of vanilla extract to your milkshake instead of cardamom for a light vanilla flavor.

VARIATIONS:

  • Pour into popsicle molds for a refreshing treat

  • Mix in chia seeds and refrigerate overnight to make an amazing Mango Chia Pudding for breakfast.

  • Make it extra thick and serve it with a scoop of vegan ice cream
